One of the best family films of the Eighties has hit the headlines again 31 years later, after more than 1,500 people tried to order a plush toy of its lead character on Etsy.  Etsy store GameGuardians was inundated with orders after a photo of their incredibly detailed 4ft-long replica of Falkor the Luck Dragon from The NeverEnding Story went viral. "Wow the response to my Falkor has been overwhelming! I've had 1500 people contact me wanting to buy one and well the waiting list would be years. I can't answer all the messages. I think it's clear that the world needs more Falkors.
Instead of using the opportunity to make some extra money, Laura, who can only make 15 of the replicas a month, decided to sell her pattern too, complete with detailed instructions and  pictures:
"I don't have it in my heart to overprice him. People with less disposable income need more luck (dragons) right?"
The generous Indianapolis store owner signed off using the hashtag #spreadtheluck.
