Oh. Holy. Crap. Deep fried peanut butter is real. And it's AMAZING. If you, like us, happen to have a serious love affair with peanut butter going on, this one is for you (and we're sorry about the utter addiction it will spark!). Your favourite nutty spread, only better. (Because everything deep-fried is better, right?!) When we came across this recipe the other day, we knew we had to (run home from work and) try it. The results? How does delicious, little dough balls packed with warm, gooey peanut butter sounds to your ears? Yeah. We know. On top of the pure lust-factor, these little treats are (too!) easy to make, requiring only four little ingredients. Meaning, of course, you can have yourself a mountain of mouth-watering little peanut butter balls in no time... Here is how: Ingredients 1 packet of ready-made puff pastry Crunchy peanut butter Canola oil Powdered sugar 35 Method First, place individual tablespoons of peanut butter onto a lined baking sheet and throw the sheet in the freezer. Once the peanut butter is frozen, roll out the puff pastry and cut 2-inch circles. Then, place frozen peanut butter in the center of each circle. Seal up the dough and place the tray back in the freezer while your oil heats up. Then, toss those little dough balls into oil, and fry them until they reach crispy golden perfection on both sides. After that, all you have to do is set them aside to cool… Smother them with powdered sugar… And you're done. (Recipe via Ohbiteit.com)
