McDonald’s Is Testing Out a New (And Rather Unusual) Breakfast Sandwich

McDonald’s is trialling a new breakfast sandwich and it’s not exactly a combination that we would have put together. The Chicken McGriddle combines chicken and pancakes. (Don't get us wrong, we love both of those things, we just wouldn't have thought to put them together!) According to reports the new item is being trialled in 11 restaurants in Ohio after which it will be decided whether to roll it out worldwide. Brian Mortellaro, who runs a McDonald’s in Ohio, apparently pitched the recipe to bosses. He said: "It's a chicken-and-waffles taste… I just think that's something that isn't out there right now." He is certainly right about that and we have to say we are intrigued by the concept.
