Jo Malone's new scent has been described as their 'most special' launch this year, EEEEK.

The brand has an astronomical following and everyone one has a favourite perfume, candle, shower gel that they repurchase time and time again. However, despite the fact that we all have a 'go-to' favourite, a new scent always gets our attention and the latest one sounds all kinds of delicious. Poppy & Barley is available from September 1 and after smelling the delicious floral scent, we know it's going to be another best-seller. Described as a 'lively' scent, rose, violet and blackcurrant also feature here and it sounds like the perfect perfume to transition from autumn to winter. A warm and inviting fragrance is essential as the cold mornings and dark evenings make a return and your light summer perfume takes a back seat. Speaking about the new scent, perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui explained:

"Poppy & Barley has an element of the unexpected and unusual – a contrast between the vibrant poppies and the nourishing grains, rounded by hints of violet and fig. It was an exciting creative challenge and new territory for me – exploring the potential of the ingredients and their combination".

Jo Malone scents are designed to be layered and they have recommended three to pair with Poppy & Barley. Try it with Honeysuckle & Davana for a vibrant floral combination, with Wood Sage & Sea Salt for a colourful scent with a mineral freshness or with Myrrh & Tonka for an addictive combination with added opulence and warmth (trying this one asap). The 30ml cologne is priced at €54, the 100ml cologne at €109 and the 250ml Body & Hand Wash at €35.
